Operator
The Geology Portal is operated by a group of organizations. Each participating organization belongs to the Swiss geology scene and represents an interest group there.
A primary function of the Swiss Geological Survey of the Federal Office of Topography swisstopo is the coordination of the geological, geotechnical and geophysical national surveys. This function is recorded in the Geoinformation Act (GeoIA) and the Landesgeologieverordnung (LGeolV).
In order to as broadly as possible take into account the requirements of the whole geology scene, the Geology Portal is constructed and operated by representatives of the largest stakeholders under the leadership of swisstopo / Swiss Geological Survey. The following interest and target groups are represented:
